Okay, I know what you’re thinking: “Where are the cameras? I’m definitely on some kind of prank show right now, right? You’re not actually telling me that Mariah Carey just turned 50 years old, are you?”
I’m sorry to tell you, but that’s exactly what I’m telling you.

Mariah has been a music industry icon since 1990, when her first album came out.
Her debut single ‘Vision Of Love’ hit number one on the charts, and since then she’s had almost too many hits to count: ‘Touch My Body,’ ‘Obsessed,’ ‘We Belong Together,’ ‘Without You,’ and obviously the song that earned her the Queen of Christmas title, ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You.’
Despite not looking a day over 30, Mariah just celebrated her 50th birthday.
Sharing photos of her (at least two) cakes on Instagram, Mariah wrote, “Spent 3.27 at home with my family and virtually with fans and friends from all over the world.”
Mariah added that she feels ‘eternally 12.’
Obviously, the numbers on her cake matched the age she feels inside — Mariah has previously explained that “I don’t count years, but I definitely rebuke them.”
38 of them, to be exact!
Obviously, the world joined in on celebrating Mariah.
Including Britney Spears, who shared this shot and added, “You are one of the main reasons I started singing,” alongside her birthday wish.
Happy birthday, Mariah! We hope 12 treats you just as well this year as it does every year!
