Pregnancy can do a lot to your body, and it doesn’t stop after the baby arrives!
The more celebrities with an audience open up about the effects of pregnancy and birth on their minds and bodies that most people don’t talk about, the less stigma there’ll be around these topics.
Lea Michele is speaking out!
Actress and singer Lea Michele is best known for starring as Rachel Berry on *Glee*.
Lea recently gave birth to her first son, Ever Leo, on August 20th, 2020, with her husband Zandy Reich, who she has been married to since 2019.
Lea recently opened up about an aspect of postpartum life that many don’t think about.
Lea shared a selfie to her Instagram story showing off her long hair.
“Enjoying this long hair while it lasts because the Mom Bob is right around the corner,” Lea wrote.
Many people are aware that women’s hair during pregnancy often grows longer, faster, and thicker than before due to an increase in estrogen.
However, as Lea shared in a follow-up story post, that hair is often lost after the baby is born.
Lea shared a picture of herself holding a clump of her hair with the caption, “The postpartum hair loss is REAL.”
It’s awesome that Lea isn’t afraid to share even the unglamorous aspects of postpartum life!
