Kristi Noem isn’t exactly laughing after South Park put her in the spotlight.
The Secretary of Homeland Security got caught up in one of the show’s political send-ups. The creators have never been shy about mocking public figures, and they once even showed Donald Trump in bed with Satan.
The episode puts Trump officials in the frame

This time, the show featured a handful of faces from the Trump administration. The scene played out at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, with the devil casually in the mix.
Noem gets a very specific portrayal

In the plot, Mr. Mackey loses his school job and ends up working for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Backed by Kristi Noem, he’s flown out to meet both Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
They also worked in a gag about her Botox supposedly wearing off.
Her scene got the most attention
Noem’s cartoon version wasn’t just standing in the background. She’s shown shooting and killing dogs in what’s framed as an ICE training video.
Noem hasn’t actually watched it
The episode, titled “Go a Nut,” made plenty of waves online. Noem says she never watched it herself, but still had thoughts on it.
She thinks the joke missed the mark
Talking on the Glenn Beck podcast, she said: “I didn’t get to see it. I was going over budget numbers and stuff. But you know, I just think it’s…um…yeah, it never ends. But it’s so lazy to just constantly make fun of women for how they look. Only the liberals and the extremists do that.”
She made it clear she didn’t think much of the humor.
She wants critics to talk about her work instead
Noem added: “If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that, but clearly they can’t, they just pick something petty like that.”
South Park’s ratings are climbing
Even with all the controversy, the numbers are big. The season 27 premiere drew 5.9 million viewers across Paramount+ and Comedy Central. Nielsen says that’s up 68 percent from last season’s first episode.
The White House isn’t laughing either
The Trump team wasn’t a fan. White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers said: “The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end and for years they have come after South Park for what they labeled as ‘offense’ [sic] content, but suddenly they are praising the show.”
Rogers also said: “President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history — and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”
