There’s no denying that the Kardashian-Jenner clan has had a huge impact on our reality TV landscape, so having two of the omnipresent sisters presenting the Emmy award for Outstanding Competition Program seemed to make sense. Reality TV is reality TV, right?
It didn’t go exactly as they planned.

The sisters took the stage looking fierce as always.
Kendall was of course towering over Kim in true supermodel fashion, but they both looked stunning as they took the mic and delivered their intro to the award.
Kim said, “Our family knows first hand how truly compelling TV comes from real people just being themselves.”
And then… everybody laughed.
Yep. The audience started giggling, and continued to laugh through Kendall’s follow up line, “Telling their stories, unfiltered and unscripted.”
Of course the viewers picked up on the moment.
Some people thought maybe the sisters were making a joke on purpose, since clearly they amp up the drama for their reality series. Kim even seemed to grin when people started laughing.
One Twitter user wrote, “Maybe not intentionally, but she most certainly was telling a joke.”
Hopefully the Kar-Jenners don’t take the laughter too personally, but then again, even if they do, their reactions to it would probably make, ahem, compelling reality TV.
