Breakups are never easy — especially when you’re a celebrity! I can’t imagine the stress of 1) going through a public divorce and 2) having the whole world talking about it!
Kelly Clarkson and her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock have been entangled in a messy divorce and now, Kelly’s legal team is clapping back after her ex-husband has denied he defrauded her.
Fans were devastated when news of Kelly’s split from hubby Brandon Blackstock went public this past June.

The pair tied the knot back in 2013 and have two children together — 6-year-old River Rose and 4-year-old Remington Alexander.
Since the split, the pair have been involved in an ongoing, and very public, divorce battle.

A large part of the couple’s feud was in part due to a court case between Kelly and Starstruck Management which is run by Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock.
Kelly was sued for $1.4 million in unpaid commissions by Starstruck. The management company also alleges that Kelly owes an additional $5.4 million from 2020, which is to be added on top of what she has already paid and what she allegedly owes.
Back in December, Kelly shot down those claims.
In court documents obtained by HollywoodLife, Kelly alleged that Starstruck, Narvel, and Brandon defrauded her out of millions of her income while representing her.
The documents state that Starstruck is “demanding unconscionable fees and compensation” for “illegal services” that “acted in conflict of interest” of Kelly’s own interest.
Kelly is also alleging Brandon and Narvel acted as agents without being licensed to do so in the State of California.

These claims echoed the sentiments Kelly filed in a previous petition Kelly to counter the lawsuit.
That petition claimed that, because Starstruck Management had been “procuring, offering, promising, or attempting to procure employment or engagements” for her without first obtaining a talent agency license, all agreements between them must be “declared void and unenforceable.”
The petition also states that the lawsuit “conveniently ignores the fact that Kelly had her own licensed talent agency [Creative Artists Agency] at all times.”
Brandon’s legal team denied these claims.

In court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight earlier this week, Starstruck Management Group denied all of the allegations and purported causes of action in Clarkson’s petition.
In their response, the company claims they are not subject to regulation under the Talent Agencies Act because they did not “perform their duties in California.”
Now, Kelly’s legal team is doubling down on their claims.
The singer’s attorney, Ed McPherson, released a statement to ET addressing the agency’s response: “We stand by our allegations that Starstruck violated the Talent Agencies Act, despite their boilerplate denials, and we look forward to trying the case before the Labor Commissioner in August.”
WE HOPE OUR GIRL KELLY IS OKAY!
