Who doesn’t love baby news?!
After a few months of speculation after it was reported that Katharine McPhee and David Foster were expecting their first child together, Katherine has confirmed the news by sharing some adorable photos of her baby bump on her Instagram page, and we couldn’t be happier for the couple!

Katharine McPhee and David Foster have been married since 2019.
The couple met in 2006 when David was a mentor to Katharine and the other contestants of season 5 of American Idol , but they did not begin dating until 2018.
This will be the couple’s first child together.
However, David does have five children from a previous marriage, some of whom are actually older than Katharine is!
David has a 50-year-old daughter, Allison, from an unnamed relationship and a 47-year-old daughter, Amy, from his first marriage. David also has a 39-year-old daughter, Sara, a 38-year-old daughter, Erin, and a 34-year-old daughter, Jordan, from his second marriage.
His daughters evidently don’t seem to have a problem with his relationship with Katharine, except that she’s “too beautiful!”
“Our biggest issue with [Katharine] is how hot she is,” Erin said in July to People .
That sounds like a good problem to have!
“Her body is insane,” Erin went on.
“When she comes over for family Sundays, I’m like, ‘Do not get in a bikini.’ My husband’s always like, ‘Kat, get in the pool!’ And I’m like, ‘Simon…'” Erin added.
Erin only had positive things to say about the age gap between Katharine and David.
“Interestingly, the age difference has played a role in a positive way,” she said. “Our dad comes from a generation where women are more passive. He is also passive about his feelings. Kat has really pushed him to open up.”
Erin says Katharine encourages her dad to reach out.
“We could get into a fight, and then Kat’s like, ‘No, you have to pick up the phone, call your daughter back,'” she said.
While others might have opinions on their relationship, it doesn’t bother them!
The couple have made it clear that they definitely don’t see an issue with their 35-year age gap, and have joked about it in the past.
It certainly didn’t stop them from deciding to grow their family!
Katharine just confirmed that she is, in fact, pregnant by sharing some adorable photos to her Instagram page.
In the pictures , which she simply captioned with a butterfly emoji between two blue hearts, Katharine is seen cradling her baby bump while wearing a blue coat off one shoulder.
She looks absolutely glowing!
