They just don’t make them like they used to!
There are a lot of modern musicians who are talented and beloved, but there aren’t really any rockstars anymore the way that there used to be.
One of the most legendary rockstars of all time is folk-rocker Joni Mitchell, who’s celebrating a huge milestone birthday this year.
Joni Mitchell is an absolute legend.

Her music not only broke barriers for women in music but also touched the hearts and souls and fans across the world.
There’s no way you grew up in the ’70s or ’80s without hearing ‘A Case Of You,’ ‘Both Sides Now,’ ‘The Circle Game,’ ‘Big Yellow Taxi,’ ‘River,’ ‘California,’ or any of her other almost countless hits.
Joni Mitchell is truly a living legend in the world of music!
Joni was born on November 7th, 1943.

That means that this music legend is turning 77 this year!
It doesn’t seem possible that someone who was the soundtrack to so many of our youthful loves and love losses could possibly be almost through her seventh decade of life, but it just goes to show that when you’re truly talented, you make an impact that goes way beyond the limits of time!
Happy birthday, Joni!
In honor of Joni’s 77th birthday, what’s your favorite Joni Mitchell song? While I definitely had a cry (or two, or three) to ‘A Case Of You’ after a few breakups in my life, I think the emotional impact and message behind ‘Big Yellow Taxi’ just seems more and more poignant every day!
