If you’ve been on the internet at ALL over the past few days, you’d know that one of the most talked-about films ever is Pixar’s latest tear-jerker, Soul .
The film is being praised for its writing, music, and message.
However, one influencer is apparently not convinced that Soul is the family-friendly movie it’s portrayed to be and is taking heat for it on Reddit .
As you’ve most likely heard, Disney Pixar’s *Soul* is being called one of the best movies of 2020.
It came out on Christmas Day to rave reviews with fans being touched by the beautiful subject matter and message of what it truly means to have soul.
While social media has been flooded with praise for the animated film, one influencer wasn’t feeling the love, and took to Instagram to express herself.

YouTuber Sazan Hendrix claimed she didn’t like the movie and felt it wasn’t appropriate for children.
“I am not someone who comes on here and tells you what to watch but when it comes to a ‘kids movie’ and as a parent, I think it’s important we address and research the ways in which are [sic] kids are exposed to media,” she wrote.
Sazan, who is open about her strong Christian faith, said the film was against her beliefs and “far from what I believe to be the truth.”

These claims came after Sazan admitted to only watching a portion of the film. She went on to explain that since she got her degree in film, she is forced to analyze movies more than the average person.
“As a parent I just needed to share that this may not be suitable for your child and now maybe you will go and do your research and make your own conscious decision.”
Users on Reddit began speculating what about the film could be perceived as far from the truth for Christians.

“I think her problem is that it’s not an upfront version of heaven maybe? Like it doesn’t disprove god but it doesn’t say he’s there? Idk man. I think it’s actually a great tool for talking about death, especially if you want to teach your kids that your soul continues on,” wrote user winnmab .
“I was disgusted when she said that, but not surprised,” agreed suhnuhh.

“She’s veering farther and farther into fundie territory everyday. It’s a children’s movie for God’s sake, not a plan by Satan to bring your kid to the dark side or whatever [expletive] she was saying lmao,” they concluded .
