Authorities in Iowa reported that a 66-year-old woman was pronounced dead on January 3 at the Glen Oaks Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Urbandale, where she was receiving hospice care.
She Was Still Breathing
The 66-year-old was placed in a body bag and transported to the Ankeny Funeral Home & Crematory, where staff discovered she was breathing and dialed 911, according to the authorities.
She Eventually Passed Away
According to a report published by the Iowa Department of Inspection and Appeals, she was transferred back to hospice care, where she passed away on January 5.

As much as we would like to term this the Lazarus Syndrome, it seems to be born out of negligence from those involved, as even the Glen Oaks home that cared for the 66-year old woman who died two days after the unfortunate event had been in a similar case a couple of months ago.
