There are many different types of dogs in the world . Some dogs are super energetic and excited all of the time, while some dogs are chill and calm. There are dogs who want to go out and sniff all of the butts of every other dog they see, while other dogs just walk on by when they see a dog coming down the road.
But all dogs are good dogs, that we know for sure.
There are some dogs who are outgoing, and others who are not.
Contrary to popular belief, not all dogs are out there wanting to meet and play with other dogs. They aren’t always dying to go run around at the dog park with other fluffy fur babies.
Some dogs are super happy being on their own with their owner.
Introvert dogs, dogs who don’t crave social interaction with other dogs, exist in the world. In fact, there are more of them than one would think apparently.
There are tons of ways to tell if your dog is an introvert.
If your dog doesn’t enjoy social interaction with other dogs—like, if they snarl at dogs at the dog park or even snap at them, it could mean they aren’t happy there interacting with other dogs.
Your dog may also prefer to be at home.
If you take your dog out and see that they are anxious, standing behind you, or hiding under tables at a cafe, it may be because they are not happy being out of their home constantly.
Despite being an introvert, some believe dogs do need to socialize.
Many pet experts and psychologists believe that even if a dog is not like other dogs in this fashion, they still need some form of social interaction.

Recently, a meet-up for “introverts and their dogs” took place and it’s everything we could have ever hoped for.
Coordinated by a dog psychologist , many dogs, and their owners were invited to the meet-up to see how the social interactions would go.
In a super sweet video shared on TikTok, we can see exactly how it looks.
Many times, when we bring our dogs to the dog park, they immediately begin playing, running, and jumping around with each other. Some even rough house and wrestle in the dirt and the grass with other dogs.
This meet-up, however, was quite the opposite.
In the video, the dogs just sand around, staring at each other from across the way. They don’t say hello to each other or run to play with each other. They just all stand around doing their own thing.
Apparently, it’s a new “group.”
Instead of having to feel like your dog is the odd one out. at the dog park, this new group celebrates introverted dogs and their introverted owners, too. Everyone can relate and no one feels awkward.

Dog groups and dog part folk can be super annoying to constantly have to talk to and entertain. Plus, dogs can also be a bit high-strung at the park, too. This introverted dog group is the one I have been looking for, forever!
