For some people, there’s no being too cautious when it comes to your health now that the Coronavirus has been labelled officially as a pandemic. While most of us are probably safe just washing our hands, not touching our faces, and staying away from people with symptoms, Howie Mandel had another idea.
The comedian took it upon himself to wear a full hazmat suit on his way to film for ‘America’s Got Talent.’
It’s not totally out of the ordinary for Howie — he’s a notorious germophobe, and has forgone handshakes for fist bumps since he was on Deal Or No Deal . The reason his head is shaved is because, according to him, it feels more clean.
‘AGT’ judge Heidi Klum has missed a few episodes due to illness, but the show is still filming before a live studio audience.

Many shows are now opting to forgo studio audiences, like Jeopardy ! and The Wendy Williams Show to reduce risk of spreading the virus, but AGT has continued on with theirs.
Howie seemed to be in a good mood in his hazmat suit, and has been joking around about the virus on his Instagram page.
He shared this shot of himself in his hazmat suit next to supermodel Naomi Campbell who also wore a hazmat suit on a recent flight she took with the caption “Who wore it better?”
He also shared a screenshot of himself facetiming with his daughter, also in a hazmat mask.

“The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” his daughter joked in the comments.
Howie also uploaded a video where he playfully said he didn’t feel comfortable at the mall or the movies anymore, and only felt safe at the DMV.
What do you think about Howie’s safety precautions? Let us know in the comments!
