As one of the biggest supermodels in the world, you’d think that with the name recognition that Heidi Klum has, she wouldn’t be quick to trade her name in for a new one.
Heidi’s got a pretty good reason, though.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast , Heidi has officially (legally, anyway) changed her name to Heidi Kaulitz. She’s been married to Tokio Hotel rocker Tom Kaulitz since February.
They’re honestly an adorable couple.

“It was to the point so bad when I couldn’t even look at him,” Heidi said to Ellen of her first impression of the rocker. “You know when you’re attracted to someone so badly you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t even look at him.'”
The new Mr. & Mrs. Kaulitz got married on February 22nd 2019.

They had been dating for roughly a year at that point, and they held a wedding ceremony in August.
It took a little bit of time but it looks like Heidi finally got around to changing her name!
In the legal documents, the reason she cited was simply “marriage.”

While most couples that get married eventually have one person take the others’ last name, it’s not as common in celebrity marriages where a celebrity’s name is instantly recognizable.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
While I doubt we’re going to start seeing Heidi Kaulitz modelling professionally under that name, it could happen — Hailey Bieber, anyone?
The couple made headlines recently when fans realized there was another celebrity lookalike for Tom who wasn’t his twin brother.

Any guesses? Someone else with long hair, a beard, maybe someone who speaks fluent Dothraki?
Yep.
Fans could not get over Kaulitz’ aesthetic similarities to Game of Thrones hunk Jason Momoa, with their surfer vibes and gorgeous locks.
They also both like dogs.

What’s not to love?!
Before that realization, though, there was a lot of talk about the couple’s age difference.

Heidi Klum is 47, and Tom is 17 years younger at 30.
In an interview where she was asked about this, Heidi said, “My boyfriend is many years younger than me, and lots of people are questioning that and asking about it.”
“That’s really the only time when age seems to be shoved in my face and I have to give an answer for it.”

“I don’t really think about it that much otherwise. You have to just live a happy life without worrying too much about what people think because worrying is only going to give you more wrinkles.”
