Grimes is known for saying interesting things, and her latest comments about catching COVID -19 are no different.
If you’re unfamiliar with the successful recording artist, you may know her as Elon Musk’s other half. She is also responsible for the most viral baby name of 2019 after dubbing her and Elon’s son “X Æ A-12.”
The COVID-19 pandemic is sweeping the nation at an alarming pace, and Hollywood is not immune.
Countless celebs have contracted COVID-19, and while many have been among the first to be vaccinated, others are still feeling the repercussions of this pandemic.
One of the latest celebs to reveal their COVID-19 diagnosis is Grimes, who took to her instagram to tell her fans about her experience thus far.

However, many people felt she was being insensitive and took to social media to express their disappointment.
If you’ve been keeping up with Grimes, you’d know she had one of the most interesting years out of any celebrity.
Not only did she welcome her baby “X Æ A-12” with boyfriend Elon Musk last year, but he also went off and became the RICHEST man in the world just a few days ago.
Yep, he surpassed Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos for the richest man in 2021 with a total net worth of $195 BILLION DOLLARS.

Now, the famous couple is making headlines again but this time, it’s for Grimes’ COVID-19 diagnosis.

The normally private 32-year-old shared that she had “finally” contracted the virus to her nearly 2 million Instagram followers.
Posting to her IG story, Grimes wrote:

“Finally got COVID but weirdly enjoying the Dayquil fever dream 2021,” alongside a picture of the song “Good Days” by SZA.
She explained that that song had gotten her through the past few days of her sickness.
“This song is so good,” she concluded her post.
Naturally, fans were confused and concerned by Grimes saying she enjoyed catching COVID.
And, since it’s 2021, they took to the Internet to question the 32-year-old’s post.

“Grimes saying she’s ‘weirdly enjoying’ getting COVID-19 is the least surprising thing of all time, to the point where I feel like it happened several times last year already,” tweeted one user.
“if elon doesn’t get covid from grimes then i’m convinced the universe is against us,” tweeted another.
Although Grimes didn’t say whether Elon Musk or their child, X AE A-XII, were affected by her diagnosis, this isn’t her family’s first experience with COVID-19.
Back in November, Elon revealed that he “most likely” had COVID-19 after receiving varying results from different tests.
Back then, Elon said, “DayQuil rocks,” when detailing his symptoms on Twitter.
“A little up & down. Feels just like a regular cold, but more body achy & cloudy head than coughing/sneezing,” he told a fan.
We’re hoping for a speedy recovery for Grimes.
