When you lose a loved one, the date that they were lost never leaves you. Every year you can choose to celebrate their life or remember their passing on that date as it passes.
July 13th was previously an important and emotional day for the Glee cast and its fans after the passing of star Cory Monteith on that date in 2013, but this year it was made extra emotional.

That date was already significant to the Glee family for a similarly tragic reason.
Fellow *Glee* star Cory Monteith had also passed away on July 13th, seven years earlier.

Glee fans and cast members noted the coincidence of these tragic dates lining up and were quick to make an emotional connection.
Co-star Kevin McHale shared an emotional tweet on the subject.
“I’m not religious by any means, but you’d be hard-pressed to convince me that Cory didn’t help find our girl today. These 2, in many ways, were the male and female versions of one another. So nice, cared deeply, were stupidly talented, the most fun, and really really good people,” he tweeted .
Fans have also taken to Twitter to note the importance of the date.
“I’m sure the two of them are reunited in a better place right now reminiscing on the good old days,” one fan noted .
“I will never forget these two,” added another.
Fans shared a clip from *Glee* of Naya singing in tribute for Cory.
It was already an emotional clip, but has gained new layers in the wake of this tragedy.
