As you most likely have heard by now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their second child. The news is the best and most exciting we’ve received thus far in 2021 and I stand by that statement with my mind, body, and soul.
Sadly, the news didn’t go over as well with everyone as it did with me. A lot of people felt the pair shouldn’t share milestones anymore because they’ve stepped away from their Senior Royal roles.

As we all know by now, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made the decision to step down from their roles as Senior Royals.
The pair confirmed the decision they made last year in a statement released earlier this month.
Many fans are overjoyed for the pair, who are clearly making the best choices for themselves and their young family.
Recently, Meghan and Harry revealed they were expecting their second baby.
The post was shared by the couple’s close friend and photographer Misan Harriman.
While most people were thrilled for the pair and their rainbow baby, others felt it was a contradictory move, saying it didn’t make sense to share such a public announcement when they chose to leave the Royal spotlight.
However, I am here to not-so-politely disagree.
Before Meghan was the Duchess of Sussex, she was actress and social activist Meghan Markle. She has had fans for decades who are invested in her life and were invested before she was married.
Then there’s Prince Harry, who has been in the spotlight since he was born. With millions of fans around the world, he’s allowed to share life’s milestone moments with us!
With the way the British tabloids treated Meghan, I don’t blame them for leaving the Royal world behind!
If the people you graduated high school with are allowed to announce their pregnancies or share their Christmas cards online, why can’t the Duke and Duchess do the same?
