Technology and new inventions can be hard for the older generation to wrap their head around. Sometimes, they can’t truly understand how to navigate the new world around them, because they didn’t grow up with these gadgets and gizmos.
It’s kind of funny and awfully sweet when we catch them trying their hardest, but missing the ball just a little bit.
A mom who referred to gender reveal parties as “sexy parties.”
Gender reveal parties are definitely a newer concept for the older generation.
Back in the day, you just said, “hey, I’m having a boy/girl.” Today, it has to be an entire production with cakes and sparklers and all of the chaos.
This grandma who asks Google “please and thank you.”

Many grandparents are not accustomed to the ability to look things up at any given moment in time. How sweet of this grandmother to ask politely, saying please and thank you whenever she needs to search for something!
This grandma who named her Starbucks coffee, Bob, instead of her own name.
Some people aren’t used to the new culture where we always spend $5+ on coffee. Most grandparents make a giant pot of coffee in their own home for less than $1.
So, when they need a “name for their order,” this grandma had the right idea to name her coffee “Bob.” LOL.
This grandma who put her recipes on an ancient artifact.

Not for nothing, I’m not entirely sure that anyone even has a computer that will fit a floppy disc anymore. Do these computers even exist? How can we get these family recipes off here?
This grandma who doesn’t get stickers.

This grandma asked her grandson to come over and help fix her new cell phone because “it was always showing the wrong time on the front screen.” Turns out, that’s the sticker it came with!
This grandma who “wrote down her favorite websites.”

If you are writing down your favorite websites, most people just write the name. This grandma wrote down the entire URL from start to finish, including all of the hyperlinks. Crazy amount of time and effort on her part.
This mom who walked around in this mask for a while.

The Reddit user shared that his mom loved gardening, but didn’t realize that the particular plant on her mask was a plant that is pretty illegal. Someone at a store had to explain to her what she was promoting.
This grandpa whose photos were a big mess.
This grandpa went to get his passport photos done and definitely missed the mark on the photobooth. Someone is going to ask where all of his very colorful hairpieces went. Too funny and sweet. Hopefully, he got to retake these.
This grandpa who wanted to print some of his favorite photos off Facebook.

The granddaughter shared that her grandfather liked some photos she posted of them on Facebook and wanted to hang them around the house. So, naturally, he printed the entire Facebook page instead of just the photos and hung those up instead.
This grandma who definitely needed instructions.

Sometimes, grandparents think they know what they are doing and don’t want to read the instruction manual. But, turns out, they actually need to from time to time.
All those years of cooking and still making a mess.
This grandma who wrote a snail mail letter to Facebook.

Someone’s grandmother wanted to complain to Facebook about something and instead of using actual Facebook or the Internet, they wrote a hand-written letter to Palo Alto. Maybe to get to Mark himself!
This mom who can’t figure out her new car.

Pushing too many buttons in a new car can lead to some serious problems. Like, opening your sunroof in your car while there is a blizzard’s worth of snow on top of your car and getting it all inside your new whip.
This dad who asked why all the models were dressed as pirates.

Some dads and grandpas are funny, but when they’re serious, it’s even funnier. Clearly, this one takes the cake. Not only are those note pirates, but the circles are also clearly on the box, not in the photo.
Ah, dads.
This grandma who doesn’t understand Facebook statuses.

Facebook and grandparents together usually add up to some hilarious content. Grandparents aren’t always up on social media etiquette and rules. Facebook statuses arent for posing questions one after the other. But, sometimes we have to tell them.
This dad who doesn’t understand iPhones.

This dad tried to print a photo off of his phone and accidentally hit the ringer at the same time, leaving a nice bell right over half of the family’s faces. Love to see it, hilarity at its finest.
