One of the biggest scandals of 2019 was, of course, the college admissions scandal, which was quickly nicknamed “Varsity Blues” by the media.
The most notable celeb parents caught in the college bribery scam were Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman.
Felicity spent 11 days in jail back in October after paying admissions consultant Rick Singer $15,000 to have a proctor change her daughter Sophia Macy’s SAT answers after she took the test.
In a statement given to People in April 2019, Felicity said that her daughter “knew absolutely nothing” about the bribe.
And while Lori Loughlin’s verdict still awaits, Felicity is ready to move on with her life!
As is her 19-year-old daughter, Sophia!
Sophia updated her Instagram account bio to “CMU Drama ‘24” indicating she will be in the 2024 graduating class of prestigious art school Carnegie Mellon University.
“Felicity is so proud and grateful that Sophia has kept her chin up over the last year,” a source close to the family told People.
“It was a painful, challenging time and she pulled through it with strength and grace.”
