Farrah Abraham, who rose to fame on the controversial hit reality TV show Teen Mom , is no stranger to controversy, whether it’s for her own life or her parenting choices , but she’s never let that stop her from speaking her truth and trying to do what she believes is best for her and her daughter, Sophia.
In a new interview , Farrah reveals that she’s already had to have ‘the talk’ with Sophia, who’s just 11.

When Farrah was asked if she’d explained sex to her 11-year-old daughter Sophia, her answer was a simple “Yes.”
“Because when the kids all like to do sleepovers and some of her friends have older siblings, um, yeah, I definitely had to do a talk with the parents after what I heard,” Farrah revealed.
I definitely remember hearing some things I wasn’t ready for when I was a kid having sleepovers!
Farrah revealed that she felt speaking to her daughter was a way of picking up the other parents’ slack.
“To be honest with you, it’s really only been prompted by all the other parents not really having those talks,” Farrah explained, before going on to say that she felt parents weren’t forthcoming enough with their children, especially their sons.
Farrah said she didn’t feel these parents had gone over “what is proper” with their children.
“That has kind of sped up the conversations that I have to have with my daughter, because of boys in her age group, and or, at her sleepovers with her girlfriends who have brothers,” Farrah explained.
Farrah said she was “very shocked by some of the things that have happened” at sleepovers.
“I will pick up the phone — I won’t go in person. I will go talk to the parents,” Farrah said. “The parents have really, most of the parents were all older than me. So they have really honed in on their responsibility.”
“They’re like, ‘You know what? We let it go. We appreciate you stepping in. Thank you, Farrah.’”
We’re glad Farrah feels confident and able to discuss these things with her daughter, especially if she’s already hearing perhaps more undesirable information from her friends!
