Celebrity breakups can get just as nasty as our own!
Bella Hadid is known for her striking features — strong cheekbones, big lips, cat eyes, and defined jawline, to name a few! While the supermodel has denied having any plastic surgery to achieve her stunning look, rumors online have persisted that it must be the case.
Her ex, musician The Weeknd, might be commenting on those rumors in his latest music video.
Bella Hadid and The Weeknd dated on and off from 2015 to 2018.

While there has been a lot of speculation about whether any of The Weeknd’s songs or albums have been referencing their tumultuous relationship, some fans believe that The Weeknd is directly referencing the rumors surrounding whether or not Bella had plastic surgery in his latest video.
In the music video for his song “Save Your Tears,” The Weeknd debuted a new look after multiple public appearances with his face wrapped in fake bandages.

The look is clearly inspired by popular plastic surgery procedures, including lip fillers, botox, cheek fillers, and jawline carving.
Some fans, however, think he’s specifically calling out Bella, given the similarities between this look and hers.
When put side-by-side, you can see the comparison.

“Did Bella Hadid get anything for referring The Weeknd to her plastic surgeon?” one fan joked , while another commented , “just realized the weeknd has been throwing shade at bella’s plastic surgery.”
It was a pretty popular theory.
It’s not uncommon for artists to use their music (or music videos) to try to “get back at” or make comments about past relationships, but this would definitely be a new way to achieve it that I certainly haven’t seen before.
Some people also thought that the woman playing his love interest in the music video looked like another one of his exes, Selena Gomez.
Some people even believed that the plastic surgery that The Weeknd got was real, although most believe it was just prosthetics, which an insider confirmed to Us Weekly was the case, as this is all “part of a character” he’s been playing.
However, not everyone believed The Weeknd was making a statement about Bella in particular.
Some fans noted that “the whole world gets plastic surgery” and didn’t think the new look The Weeknd debuted resembled Bella at all.
I think The Weeknd is definitely making a comment about plastic surgery, regardless!
What do you think?
Is the Weeknd subtly poking fun at Bella Hadid, or do you think the similarities in their appearances are just coincidental? Let us know how you feel in the comments below!
