Just because someone isn’t with us anymore, it doesn’t mean they’re forgotten (and no, we’re not talking about getting Facebook reminders about your old roommates’ birthdays — you can probably go ahead and forget those). It’s important we take the time to honor and celebrate those who’ve left us but also had a huge impact on our lives!
John Candy was one of the world’s best character actors.
You’ve definitely seen him (and loved him) in something, whether it was Planes, Trains And Automobiles; Spaceballs, Splash, Uncle Buck, or his time on Canadian sketch comedy show, SCTV .
John was hilarious, lovable, charming, and one of the best physical actors of his time.
John unfortunately passed away at the age of 43.
John passed from a heart attack on March 4th, 1994, while filming Wagon’s East in Mexico. The film was eventually dedicated to his memory.
It’s hard to believe it’s already been 27 years since his passing, but his memory is still with us making us laugh to this day!
John was born on October 31st, 1950.
That means that this year, John would have been celebrating his 70th birthday.
Fans are remembering and celebrating all the love, laughter, and talent that John brought to all of our lives.
They just don’t make them like him anymore!
We love this!
In honor of John Candy’s birthday, we think it’s time to toss in our copy of Spaceballs and enjoy the laughs!
