Ryan Reynolds filled the room with laughter as he and wife Blake Lively made an appearance at the Saturday Night Live (SNL) 50th anniversary event in New York on Sunday.
Viewers of the event seemed to point out Kevin Costner’s interesting reaction to Reynolds’ joke.

The actor couple have been in a legal battle with Justin Baldoni after Lively filed a lawsuit against him on 31 December, alleging sexual harassment on the set of the movie It Ends WIth Us.
As Baldoni’s legal team retaliated by filing a counter-lawsuit, the whole battle has been hard to ignore.
Reynolds caused a stir at the SNL event
While Reynolds and Lively made an appearance at SNL on the weekend, Reynolds seemed to make a joke about the legal battles between his wife and her co-star, which sparked a variety of reactions from the crowd as well as viewers.
He poked fun at the whole thing
Since the start of the legal battle, details of encounters between Lively and Baldoni as well as Reynolds and Baldoni have been coming out to the public.
So when the SNL alumni Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were doing the audience Q&A, Reynolds took the moment to poke fun at all the private conversations being shared with the public.
He raised his hand in the audience
In a celebrity-packed audience, Reynolds raised his hand during the Q&A, stood up, and said, “I have a question.”
To which Fey asked, “Oh, Ryan Reynolds, how’s it going?”
And to mock the on-going legal drama which has been unfolding in the public eye, Reynolds replied with a straight face: “Great! – why, what have you heard?”
The room was filled with laughter
The celebrity-packed studio was filled with laughter as he went on to ask about the old SNL Coneheads sketches.
Some viewers, however, spotted one member of the audience who didn’t seem so amused, with a particular reaction from Kevin Costner stirring up the internet.
Costner seemed to be looking at Lively
Kevin Costner, who wasn’t sitting very far from Reynolds and Lively, seemed to look at the latter with no smile on his face, but rather a hard stare.
He kept his eyes firmly on Lively, while the rest of the room laughed at Reynolds’ joke.

The Yellowstone actor seemed to be pulling a grimacing face awaiting Lively’s reaction to her husband’s joke.
Viewers noticed this and took to social media to point it out, with one person saying, “Loving Kevin Costner in the background. He is clearly not amused!” Another person also wrote, “Kevin Costner’s face said it all.”
People seemed to catch onto Costner’s thoughts
A lot of viewers seemed to catch onto what Costner was thinking of at the time, with some saying that he was “thoroughly unimpressed” by the Deadpool actor and that he was “not falling for it”.
Others also thought that Costner’s unimpressed reaction made Reynolds “look like a fool” for making the joke about the legal battle in the first place.
It started at the end of last year
The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni started in 31 December when Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni accusing him of sexual harassment and attempting to launch a smear campaign against her.
His legal team retaliated by filing a defamation suit against her and her husband Reynolds, with Baldoni’s attorney also claiming Lively tried to take control over It Ends With Us, which was directed by Baldoni.
It’s been a messy battle in the public eye
The whole thing has been hard to ignore, with alleged text messages, a video from behind the scenes, and a voice note being among the things leaked or shared by either side to prove their claims.
