Celebrity holograms are a hotly contested subject. While it’s pretty cool that we have the technology to create something like this, it doesn’t always turn out so well. On top of that, some people think it’s disrespectful to celebrities who have passed away to keep trying to make money off their image.
The latest celebrity hologram to make the news is one of Whitney Houston.
Whitney Houston passed away in 2012 at the age of 48 years old.
When the “An Evening With Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Tour” was announced, it was met with a lot of backlash from fans who thought it was disrespectful.
Video has now been shared of the hologram in action.
On ITV’s “This Morning,” the Whitney Houston hologram performed “Greatest Love Of All.”
Many fans were not impressed with what they saw.
Some fans thought the hologram tour was disrespectful.
“I am ashamed & disappointed that anyone would think a “hologram”of Whitney Houston would be a good idea. Nonsense, end it now,” tweeted one fan.
However, some fans were excited about the idea.

However, there were many fans that were impressed with the hologram, made by Base Hologram , and were excited about the prospect of seeing Whitney or another favorite on tour.
