Fans are getting a closer look at the life and career of pop princess, Britney Spears.
While the battles with her father’s conservatorship over her have been made public, the new documentary, titled Framing Britney Spears , offers fans a new perspective on life for the 39-year-old.
In addition to Britney’s legal battles, the documentary highlights a career filled with disrespect. Now, fans are turning their anger toward Britney’s ex, Justin Timberlake.
As you may have heard, the “New York Times” documentary, *Framing Britney Spears*, debuted on Hulu and FX this past weekend.

The documentary focuses on Britney’s conservatorship and the increasingly popular #FreeBritney movement on social media.
Many fans have found the documentary hard to watch, as it shows the relentless scrutiny and criticism the young pop star faced from the onset of her career.
However, there was another part of the tell-all doc that fans couldn’t seem to shake, and it involved Britney’s ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake.
In case you need a quick refresh, Britney and Justin dated for three years (from 1999 to 2002) and were nothing short of pop royalty.

The documentary follows two major moments after their split — Justin Timberlake’s infamous “Cry Me A River” music video featuring a Britney lookalike, and the public questioning about his and Britney’s sex life.
The documentary featured audio from one of Justin Timberlake’s radio interviews following the split.
The interviewer asked, “Did you [expletive] Britney Spears?” to which he laughed and replied, “Okay, I did it.”
According to Britney, Justin was the only person she’d slept with at the time.
The media attention her sexual history received was nothing short of creepy.
As the documentary stated, the ensuing popular narrative was that Justin was the “school quarterback,” while Britney was shunned as the “high school slut” who was responsible for their breakup.
Diane Sawyer is also facing backlash for her behavior during the height of Britney’s success.
The documentary touched on the interview Britney did with the popular journalist back in 2003, when Britney was only 21 years old.
Diane accused the singer of being the reason she and Justin broke up.
“You broke his heart, you did something that caused him so much pain, so much suffering. What did you do?” she asked a visibly emotional Britney.
Diane also defended the first lady of Maryland at the time, Kendel Ehrlich, who said she would shoot Britney if she had a chance.
She said that the remark was made “because of the example for kids and how hard it is to be a parent.”
As fans know, Britney was not the first woman who suffered because of Justin’s actions.
Who can forget when Janet Jackson faced the brunt of their Super Bowl accident, with Justin leaving the singer to fend for herself against relentless media scrutiny?
Now, fans of Britney are slamming Justin for his slander.
His narrative contributed to the relentless bashing Britney endured as a young woman in the media spotlight.
“When will Justin Timberlake pay for the crimes he committed against Britney Spears and Janet Jackson?” tweeted one fan.
“Justin Timberlake’s career catapulted at the expense of two brilliant women in Pop music (Janet Jackson & Britney Spears),” added another.
“& to this day, he has yet to take ownership of his grotesque actions,” they concluded.
Justin has yet to release a statement addressing the backlash.
