Hi. Hello. Welcome to the real world, where everything isn’t family-friendly. When I was younger, my parents didn’t think it was appropriate for me to watch award shows after a certain time, and would simply change the channel . What a concept!!!!
However, some people didn’t do that when Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s WAP performance at the Grammys began, and have taken to social media to complain about it.

CNN reported at the time that most complaints came from parents who felt their children were exposed to a “porno show.”
Now, a performance by Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B over a year later is causing the same uproar.
Maybe one day people will clue in television made for adults isn’t also suitable for children, but I digress.
The sex-positive performance featured FCC friendly rendition of NSFW songs like “Up”, “Savage” and “WAP”.
The stiletto pole. The giant bed. The choreography. The outfits. It was all so aesthetic and fun!
In case you missed it, “WAP” by Meg Thee Stallion and Cardi B was the song of 2020.
Come on female empowerment! Come on GIRL POWER!
Unfortunately, not everyone felt that way and are taking to social media to complain about the Grammy performance.
Before the performance, host Trevor Noah made it clear the performance would be ~spicy~ and maybe not suitable for children.
Let’s just say there was an AMPLE amount of WARNING if parents wanted to change the channel!
“Oh, goooooooood… More debauchery for our children to look up to,” wrote one critic.
“Absolutely appalling CBS would air such vulgar performance. FCC fines….and than [ sic ] Trevor Noah cheers it on……” tweeted another.
In true Cardi B fashion, the rapper was not phased by the hate.
“I hope you guys enjoyed The UP/WAP performance. Boyyy I was tired but I didn’t want to make my fans wait so long for a performance. Love you guys. Congrats on all the winners tonight,” the 28-year-old tweeted .
Of course, praise for the performance has outweighed the negativity.
I think it was pretty clear what viewers were getting themselves into!

His face while watching was literally me at home by myself eating leftover pad thai and SUPPORTING THESE QUEENS!
Social media will be filled with contradicting opinions for the next few days. It will be interesting to see what the FCC reports says!
