Getting good news immediately followed by sad news is hard to take. Should I be happy about one of my favorite shows getting renewed for a third season, or should I be sad that the third season will be the show’s last? It’s too complicated! I can’t handle these complicated, competing feelings!
I guess I’ll just have to learn how to cope.
*Dead To Me* instantly became a smash hit on Netflix.
The dark comedy follows Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini as two women who meet and quickly bond in a support group for those who are grieving, but their relationship quickly gets more complicated, dark, and hilarious all at the same time.
Netflix has now announced that *Dead To Me* will be renewed for a third, and final, season.
“From start to finish, Dead To Me is exactly the show I wanted to make,” show creator Liz Feldman said in a statement . “And it’s been an incredible gift. Telling a story sprung from grief and loss has stretched me as an artist and healed me as a human.”
Liz went on to thank the cast and crew of the show.
“I’ll be forever indebted to my partners in crime, my friends for life, Christina and Linda, and our brilliantly talented writers, cast and crew. I am beyond grateful to Netflix for supporting Dead To Me from day one, and I’m thrilled to continue our collaboration,” she wrote.
Fans, of course, are having mixed reactions.
“When we said renew dead to me we didn’t say for a FINAL season,” one fan tweeted .
What do you think of the news? Are you excited to see the story end the way the creator intended it to, or do you wish it could last longer? Let us know in the comments!
