Disney’s live-action versions of their classic movies almost always spark a large debate about who should be the actors and actresses to bring these iconic characters to life. Sometimes these casting debates are settled when there’s only one perfect actor for the role.
This is the case for Disney’s *Hercules.*
There have been rumors floating around that Hercules will be the next Disney classic to get the live-action treatment, and while the roles of Hercules, Hades, and Meg are causing a bit of a stir, there’s one character everyone seems to be in agreement for.
That would be Phil.

Full name Philoctetes, Phil is a crotchety satyr (half human, half goat) who helps train Hercules into becoming the legendary hero he was meant to be. In the animated version, Phil is voiced by Danny DeVito.
Fans are convinced that only Danny DeVito could do the character justice in live-action.
To be fair, Phil does kind of already look like Danny, being short in stature with some five o’clock shadow and not much hair on the top of his head.
While fans are often torn about whether movies should be re-made, almost everyone agrees.
Most fans would be willing to accept a live-action Hercules as long as Danny DeVito reprises his character and brings Phil to life.
What do you think?
Honestly, I’m not usually on board the whole live-action remake train, but if I get to see Danny DeVito dressed like a half human half goat, I think I might just buy a ticket.
