Concerned father, or an overbearing father?
The internet is left deciding which one a father is after his daughter took to TikTok to air out her grievances toward him.
She showed off the outfit that he claimed to be “inappropriate” and asked viewers to decide if he was right or not.
Well, you know the old saying: Ask and you shall receive!
The Internet Has Already Seen Its Fair Share of Protective Fathers

Back in 2019, a father from Florida went viral for teaching his daughter a lesson about wearing tight, revealing clothes. He did so in the most dad way possible: by wearing the exact same short shorts his daughter was trying to wear.
The outfit left both his daughter and the internet in stitches. People loved his sassy way of proving a point.
This Next Protective Dad Probably Should’ve Followed Suit With His Tactics

Alina (@alinaslittlesecrett), a digital content creator on TikTok went viral after she aired out her family’s dirty laundry.
“My dad says this outfit is inappropriate,” she wrote in her viral video to her 30k+ followers. She then showed off the outfit he didn’t like, which was a light blue pleated skirt. Alina even jumped up and down several times to show that the skirt doesn’t expose her butt.
She Paired the Skirt With a Tan Tank Top

“Why tho?” she wrote in the caption. In another video, she explained that her father refused to let her outside dressed like that. This caused her to turn to her followers to see if her father was actually right or just being an overbearing dad.
For the most part, viewers were on her side, writing things like “nothing wrong with it,” “doesn’t look inappropriate to me,” and “it’s your choice, I like it.”
Others Needed More Information Before Making Their Decision
That’s why some viewers asked how old she is. An outfit like that on someone 15 and under surely wouldn’t be appropriate. Others stated that it’s how she carries herself that really matters, not how she dresses.
And, of course, there were those who actually sided with her Pops. “Sounds like you have a dad that cares about you,” one wrote. “So listen to the man.” Another had a pretty intense response: “Girl listen to your daddy. If u want to be sexually harassed then yes don’t listen to your dad. If u want to be respected listen to dad,” they wrote.
