Some parents really rock at creativity especially when it comes to involving their kids. That’s exactly what this art director and dad named Alan Lawrence who runs That Dad Blog did with his toddler son.
He turned his kid into a life-size Elf on the Shelf and the pictures are so fun to see. Check out a slew of them here and view the rest of them on his Instagram account.
Not only this dad managed to get his baby to act out these mischevious Elf on the Shelf scenes once, but he did it again the year after.
I guess you could say it’s become a yearly tradition with his son, Rockwell.
OMG I hope this picture is superimposed or someone is holding the baby up.
But nonetheless, this is a great shot if you ask me. Ha, ha, ha.
You show him who’s the boss, little man. Hee, hee.
This is what dad gets for making the baby do all these annoying poses. One more marshmallow coming up.
No more sleep for dad when you’ve got this little Elf running around wrecking havoc everywhere.
Am I right? I guess all parents know what this feels like.
Going down the stairs indoors in a snow sled is so much fun, isn’t it?
Yippee! Looks like the dog isn’t all that amused. He’s probably wondering what’s going on.
Oh, no! The little Elf has been up to no good again.
This time the toilet didn’t manage to escape his wrath. Quick, hide all the wrapping paper.
Spaghetti noodles never tasted so good when you add candy to the mix. LOL!
Especially when you’re getting into it when nobody is watching. What a little rascal.
Now that Rockwell is a bit older, it’s been more of a challenge to do these shots.
Especially since he’s not very fond of his Elf hat.
And once Rockwell gets his hands on candy, well, there’s no stopping him.
Hee, hee. I bet he must’ve gone through a lot of candy to get this shot.
This picture is one of dad’s favorites.
Apparently, once Rockwell got some of the whipped cream in his mouth he got that mischevious look and that was the money shot.
It’s so fun to see all these creative shots.
Dad also plans to convince his son when he’s 18 to reenact these shots and that would so great to see.
The whole family also gets in on the fun with the rest of the kids coming up with lots of ideas.
Unfortunately, most of their ideas include some fire. LOL.
So it’s safe to say, dad will most likely stick to his own ideas because they’re more fun than actually dangerous.
Hee, hee. Rockwell’s facial expressions are priceless in these.
I can’t believe what lenghts some parents will go through to achieve fun shots like these.
This is creativity at its best. Isn’t it? I can’t wait to see more.
