Sometimes I hear about a celebrity’s birthday and I have a hard time believing how old they are. Sometimes, it’s because a celebrity seems permanently young at heart, and other times, it’s because some celebrities just kind of seem immortal and like they’ve always been around.
In the case of Courteney Cox celebrating her 56th birthday, I can’t believe how long it’s been since she was gracing our screen as Monica Geller in her late-20s.
Courteney was born on June 15th, 1964.
And while it feels like just yesterday we were enjoying some new episodes of Friends , the show actually premiered about 26 years ago, when Courteney was just 30.
How has it been so long?! Especially considering Courteney looks basically the exact same, it just doesn’t make sense.
*Friends* may have been her big break, but it wasn’t where most people first saw her.
Courteney had made a pretty iconic appearance in Bruce Springsteen’s music video for “Dancing In The Dark.”

Like this TikTok, which she likely got into because of her daughter, Coco, who celebrated her 16th birthday just two days before Courteney’s 56th! It must be a busy week for celebrations in the Cox household.
Of course, fans have taken to social media to share birthday wishes for the star.
“Happiest of birthdays to one talented, kind, beautiful, courteney cox. i hope you have the most wonderful day, i love you so much!!,” one fan tweeted , and another added , “56 years ago today a goddess was born!”

Even though one of the characters on my one of my favorite show aging makes me feel old, Courteney looks like she’s been living her best life, and we’re sure she’ll be celebrating her birthday in the exact same fashion!
