It’s the end of March, and do you know what that means? Easter is just around the corner. That’s right. Doesn’t time fly? So if you’re a parent, I bet you’re already planning your next Easter egg hunt , huh? Well, if that’s true, then I have a brilliant idea for you. I borrowed it from some clever moms , so check it out.
Let me ask you something.
Do you kids always fight over who finds the most eggs during the Easter egg hunt? That must be so frustrating. Am I right? But did you know there was a clever way to prevent that? Oh, yeah!

Okay, so here’s what you do.
Instead of the kiddos running around looking for all the eggs, I have a better idea for you. Give each child a colored bucket and let them match the eggs. That way, they can only look for the eggs that match the color of their bucket.
Get it?
Now, the kids will have the same exact number of eggs, and there will be no in-fighting. I told you it’s a genius idea. I bet you’re wondering why you haven’t thought of it, huh? Well, you’re welcome.
Ha, ha!
This is so easy. All you need to do is pick out different colored plastic eggs. Then fill them up with stuff as usual. Next, you will need some colored buckets. You can find those at the dollar store, or you can have the kids paint it themselves. That way, they can pick their favorite color.
You can even make the buckets yourself.
If you have the time, that is. I, for one, would skip that and move right over to pick them up at the store, ha, ha. Who’s got time for extra work? Not me, that’s for sure. But if you’re a crafty mom, then I’m sure you’ll get a total kick out of it. And you can get the kids to help you, too.
Some people use tin cans to make buckets.
Then you can attach a ribbon to make a handle. Again, it’s a bit much for me, but if you’re into that sort of thing, then, by all means, go to town. Or you can even use shoelaces as the handle. That’s a cool idea, huh? I think the kids will like that.
Now comes the fun part.
Hand out each bucket to every child, and tell them to search for the eggs that match the color of their bucket! Easy, peasy, right? This is going to make the annual egg hunt so much better coordinated. What do you think of that?

And isn’t that what all moms are after, huh? To make their kids’ activities both easy and fun? Well, I tell you, this is the way to go. Once you do this, you’ll never go back to the way you used to do Easter egg hunts.
