We all think our moms are beautiful. That’s kind of the nature of having a mom — just like all parents think their babies are the cutest babies in the entire world, so do kids grow up to think their mom is one of the most beautiful people on the planet.
When your mom is an international supermodel, though, you sort of have a leg up on everyone.
You know Cindy Crawford, right?
Gorgeous supermodel from the 90’s, Cindy Crawford? Legend, icon, inspiration to young models everywhere? Ringing any bells? Of course, she’s just as gorgeous now.
Case in point.
Despite knowing how long she’s been famous for, it doesn’t seem quite possible that Cindy Crawford is old enough to have an 18 year old daughter, but I’m here to tell you that she absolutely does.
This is Kaia Gerber.
Kaia is Cindy’s daughter with businessman Rande Gerber. Kaia just recently celebrated her 18th birthday and decided to honor her mother’s supermodel past with her outfit choice.
The outfit she decided to channel was this iconic number worn by Cindy to the 1992 VMAs.
The bustier? The straps? The gold buckles? The red accent? All instantly iconic, and instantly recognizable when her daughter went for the same look.

Her choice of skirt was different, but aside from that, she honestly nailed the legendary look perfected by her mom before she was even born.

We’re all kind of flattered when we’re told we look like our moms, but it’s got to be extra flattering to hear that you’re basically your mom’s twin when your mom is Cindy Crawford.
It’s seriously uncanny.
Some people’s genetics really do have all the luck. Sure, I look like my mom, but neither myself or my mom have ever looked like this in a casual photo.

Cindy shared a sweet message to her daughter for her birthday.
Like all parents, it’s her job to embarrass her daughter on her birthday in public, so Cindy shared this adorable photo on her instagram of a baby Kaia. She wrote, “From this…”
“…to THIS in the blink of an eye!”
“Happy birthday @kaiagerber. I’m so proud of the young woman you’ve become! All the best for the year ahead!” She wrote.
I love seeing celebrities who look just like their parents.
Especially when they take the time to try to do it. Like earlier this year when Courteney Cox shared this photo of her daughter wearing the same dress she had 21 years earlier.
Not only did it fit perfectly, but they both look amazing in the dress.

And obviously I couldn’t NOT mention Reese Witherspoon’s daughter, Ava.
Talk about clones! Ava, who’s just 19 years old, already has pretty much exactly her mom’s face, and there are definitely worse faces to have.
