The Olsen Twins should be prepared to pass the baton when it comes to twins taking over Hollywood — the D’Ambrosio sisters are ready and more than willing to build their own empire together.
Chiara and Bianca D’Ambrosio have shared the screen on award-winning soap operas The Young And The Restless and The Bay as well as showing off their individual talents, with Chiara appearing on Diary Of a Future President and Bianca in Lady Of The Manor .
Diply had the pleasure of sitting down with them to discuss their upcoming The Bay spinoff and what it’s like to play sisters on screen.
Chiara and Bianca recently made their debut on Emmy-awarding winning soap opera *The Bay* as Frankie and Regan Sanders.

If you loved seeing them on your screen on The Bay , you should definitely be looking forward to yA , a spinoff that follows the Sanders twins in a new coming-of-age drama.
“I was over-the-moon ecstatic,” Chiara told Diply of getting the call about the spin-off from the show’s creator. “We were super honored and grateful that he wanted us to be in it.”
“We had to do it,” Bianca excitedly chimed in.
“I can’t wait for everybody to see yA and how these characters are developed,” Chiara added. “I think a couple of weeks ago our episode where our characters were introduced on The Bay came out and we’ve already had some great responses.”
“*yA* deals with a lot of social media issues and how they affect online presence and real-life situations,” Bianca teased about the show’s plot.

“I don’t want to say too much, but there are some pretty big plots that happen because of social media. The viewers will have to wait and see how bad social media, and how good it is too,” she told Diply.
As 15-year-olds, the twins are more than familiar with the ups and downs of social media, but they seem to have figured it out.
“There are certain times where I’ve felt bad about social media, where I felt like I had to have this picture-perfect image of myself at all times, and I hate that, but at the same time, I get to connect with so many people around the world,” Chiara said. “There’s pros and cons, but I feel like over time you see the positive things.”
“I think over the years, we’ve learned,” Bianca added.

“I feel like in the beginning you have to have the perfect picture, or the perfect video, or the perfect TikTok, but when you do social media for a long time, you realize that people don’t want that. People want to see your true self. I’m confident in myself, and whatever people say, it doesn’t matter to me. It’s like a learning experience. Everything on social media is a lesson,” Bianca told Diply.
The twins have also learned lessons about working together and how to not let playing sisters on-screen affect their relationship off-screen.
“I’m really close with my sister, we live with each other so we see each other all day,” Bianca told Diply, with Chiara chiming in playfully, “And we’re twins!”
“And we’re twins,” Bianca laughed, “so when we work with each other, we kind of have to trust each other in the scene.”
“I feel like because we’ve worked together, it builds our friendship and makes our relationship even stronger,” Bianca continued.

They don’t plan on ever letting work get between their sisterly bond, either. “I want to be a film director,” Bianca told Diply, “and Chiara wants to be a writer. So even when we do venture off, we’ll be together. I’ll direct a film, and she writes it. Or if she wants to try directing, I’ll write it.”
“I want to write a book!” Chiara added. “Maybe I’ll do that independently or maybe Bianca will help, or we’ll write it together. Obviously, we’ll be acting in separate projects as time goes on, but we’ll still be acting together too.”
“Even if we’re working on separate projects, we always have a tie to each other,” Bianca said. “I don’t see that ever changing as time goes on.”
