Sometimes I wonder about seeing celebrities in mundane places. Celebrities who have jury duty or celebrities who volunteer with causes or even just celebrities doing boring things that we don’t think about them doing often — like waiting in line at the DMV or mailing a package at the post office.
I’d never thought about seeing a celebrity working at a post office, though.

Cher is one of the most iconic celebrities of all time.
From her distinctive voice to her legendary performances to her hilarious and often-in-all-caps Twitter presence, Cher is always entertaining.
She also is passionate about politics (among other subjects) and has recently turned her attention to the struggles being faced by the United States Postal Service.
After tweeting about the subject of the Post Offices, Cher had a very interesting question.
“NO, I’M NO KIDDING… COULD I VOLUNTEER AT MY POST OFFICE ⁉️,” she tweeted out , immediately followed by, “IS NO ONE GOING TO HELP ME WITH POST OFFICE?”
Despite sounding a little bit like my grandmother when she needs help with her iPad, Cher came back to Twitter a couple hours later with some more information.
Cher revealed she had tried to offer her volunteer services with two post offices.
“OK, Called 2 post offices In Malibu. They were polite. I Said ‘Hi This Is Cher, & I Would like to know If you ever take Volunteers⁉️ Lady Said She Didn’t Know & Gave Me # Of Supervisor,” she tweeted , but things didn’t go quite as she had hoped.
“I Called & Said Hi This is Cher Do U Accept volunteers? ‘NO, need fingerprints and background check.'”
Cher was turned down as a volunteer! I don’t know what exactly a volunteer would be doing at the post office, but it’s hilarious to think of those workers on the phone who probably thought they were being pranked.
We hope Cher doesn’t give up!
