Joaquin has rocked a couple different facial hairstyles throughout his career.
We definitely can’t forget that weird time when he grew out his hair and beard and we didn’t know if he was acting or not.
While Joaquin isn’t necessarily known for his facial hair per se, we can definitely see how different he looks between all three hairstyles.
I can’t believe how unrecognizable he is as mysterious bearded Joaquin.

Seth is never allowed to be bare-faced or not wear glasses ever again. His look is just too iconic.
Seth without facial hair looks like someone we all definitely know but can’t pinpoint who they are.
3. Jon Hamm
Jon Hamm ditched his clean-shaven, greased-back Mad Men look and let loose, growing out both his locks and beard.
I feel like this is something all middle-aged men have to go through.
Facial hair or not, I think we can all agree that Jon looks absolutely divine.

It’s not right to spell Zach’s last name in one try and it’s also not right for him to ever not have facial hair.
The person on the right doesn’t even look like he would be a distant relative!

Cuba with a goatee just looks like a regular dad who just happens to look like Cuba Gooding Jr.
I bet he’s definitely still a sweetheart either way!

We are all very familiar with classic clean Colbert, but what do we think of his wizard vibes Colbeard ? If he grew it any longer, I’m pretty sure he would turn into Gandalf.
7. Tom Selleck
Tom Selleck’s brow game is still super strong, but it’s really hard to believe that guy on the right is really him without his signature Mr. Potato Head ‘stache.
Colbert quipped that the ‘stache is so iconic that it even has a non-compete clause.
8. Leonardo DiCaprio
What DOESN’T suit Leo (no pun intended)?
Wolf of Wall Street Leo looks like beardy manbun Leo’s young adult son. Clearly they run a successful family business together that they hope will be passed down in the family.

If I spotted bearded George on the street, I would just never guess that was him.
Can we also talk about how George Lopez’s ‘stache is actually picture perfect?
10. Shia LaBeouf
The actor’s Transformers days may have ended for him back in 2011, but his bearded transformation definitely did not.
Shia looks pretty fierce with this beard, and he definitely means business.
Without a beard, all we can think about is him as that silly, mischievous, carefree Louis from Even Stevens.
Or bad boy Stanley Yelnats IV from Holes , so I guess not much changed, actually.
11. Donald Glover/Childish Gambino
With a beard, Donald Glover transforms from Childish Gambino into Young Adult Hipster Gambino for sure.
Donald Glover got serious with his music and grew facial hair. It seems to be some unspoken requirement.
12. Jason Momoa
Jason Momoa still hasn’t brushed his hair since 2011 during his stint playing Conan in Conan the Barbarian, but everything about his 2017 furry aesthetic is fierce.
Regardless, I would not want to get on his bad side.
13. Jared Leto
The question is, what hasn’t Jared Leto tried with his hair? He’s done super short and clean-shaven and now long, luscious, and bearded.
