This is definitely one way to bring in the New Year!
Actress Cameron Diaz and her husband, musician Benji Madden, have just announced on Instagram that they’ve secretly welcomed their first child together.
Benji and Cameron have been together since 2014, but they had a whirlwind romance!
Though the Charlie’s Angels star and Good Charlotte rocker seemed like an unlikely pair, they started dating in May, were engaged by Christmas, and were married on January 5th, 2015.
This is a pretty great anniversary present!
They are an incredibly cute couple.
Even though they’re pretty private about their relationship, they do share some sweet moments, like this post Benji wrote on Cameron’s birthday, “Happy Birthday to My Beautiful Wife. You deserve Everything Good that the Universe has to Give . I’m Yours Always Forever.”
But even that post isn’t as sweet as the one they just made!
“Happy New Year from the Maddens!” they wrote on Instagram.
“We are so happy, blessed, and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden,” they shared.
So sweet!
“She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family.”
“While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one’s privacy,” they added, “so we won’t be posting pictures or sharing any more details.”
Though they announced they won’t be sharing pictures of their daughter, they assured everyone she’s “really, really cute!”
“Some would even say RAD :),” added the post, making an adorable play on words with the baby’s name.
Fans of the couple were obviously ecstatic for them.
Though they turned off comments on Instagram, fans of the couple took to Twitter to share their congratulations and excitement.
Benji’s twin brother and Good Charlotte bandmate Joel Madden tweeted about the news.
He retweeted his brother’s announcement with three heart emojis. We’re sure he’s excited to be an uncle!
