10 months into the COVID-19 pandemic, we all know now that wearing masks is one of the most important things we can do to stop the spread of COVID-19, and yet, it seems some people are really, really determined not to. As you may have read, Page Six reported that Die Hard legend Bruce Willis was asked to leave a pharmacy this week after refusing to mask up. Now, the actor is speaking out against his decision.
When you think of Bruce Willis, you automatically think of a total badass.
Since becoming the face of the Die Hard movie franchise, the 65-year-old has established himself as a household name in Hollywood.
Now, the actor is making headlines for entirely different, much less cool reasons.
Page Six reports that on Monday, Bruce was asked to leave a California Rite Aid pharmacy for not wearing a face mask.
The news outlet claims that the actor was walking around the aisles without a mask, prompting fellow shoppers to report him to management.
Ironically, Bruce did have a green bandana tied around his neck that he could have used as a face covering.
When an employee approached Bruce with the request to cover his face with the aforementioned bandana, the actor refused and was promptly then asked to leave the store.
People were having a little too much fun on Twitter with the news of Bruce’s mask-less moment.
“Washed-up hack Bruce Willis was kicked out of a Rite Aid for not wearing a mask. Absolutely terrible role model and irresponsible behavior from a supposed ‘icon.’ Bruce should be ashamed of himself. Perhaps he’s preparing for his next role in the upcoming Die Hard in a Pharmacy ,” tweeted @thebr0keb0i.
I mean, when you’re known for defeating evil and you end up getting asked to leave a Rite-Aid, the jokes kind of write themselves.
Now, the actor is speaking out about his behavior in an exclusive statement to People .
“It was an error in judgment,” the 65-year-old told the publication.
“Be safe out there everyone and let’s continue to mask up,” he added.
A lot of fans didn’t take well to the remarks.
“I do not care about your [expletive] apology. Give us your money and disappear, you ghoul,” wrote one user.
” [expletive] Bruce ‘where’s my career’ Willis,” echoed another .
