It’s Billie Eilish’s world and we’re all just living in it. She’s had a number one song, a best selling album, and a devoted fan base — what more could she want?
How about, say, a shocking family revelation while on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show ?
Billie is fresh off of performing for the first ever time on ‘Saturday Night Live.’
Her performance, which involved her walking on walls and ceilings, was incredibly well-received and took the Internet by storm.
Riding that high, Billie and her brother Finneas appeared on Howard Stern’s program.
Finneas is the one who produces all of Billie’s music, for the record, so that’s a really talented set of siblings.
No stone was left unturned on the show.
Billie detailed a horrible date she went on when she was 13, spoke candidly about her struggles with mental health, and admitted she didn’t think her and her brother would ever have a big falling out.
The siblings also showcased just how talented they actually are.
Stern challenged the pair to write a song live on his show, and they actually took him up on it.
“Let’s improvise a song!” Billie agreed excitedly.
“Maybe we should write a song about sleep paralysis, since that’s something you know about,” Stern suggested, and Billie agreed.
After a bit of messing around, Billie and Finneas actually managed to create something beautiful.
Sure, the lyrics need a little bit of work, but considering they were improvising an entire song from scratch, they showed some serious talent.
Stern then brought out Billie and Finneas’ parents to discuss the talented children they’d raised.
Billie’s mom and dad are both actors and big fans of Stern’s, so they were ecstatic to come out and answer any question he threw at them.
Stern asked them to describe the night Billie was conceived so that any would-be parents out there could follow the steps to creating a talented child.
That was when Billie’s parents dropped the bombshell that even Billie didn’t know about — she was conceived through in-vitro fertilization.
“So, Billie was built in a lab?” Stern joked.
Her father agreed and said, “I was alone in a dark room,” in a descriptor of the conception.
Billie’s parents admitted they had struggled with fertility after having Finneas and that Billie was their fourth attempt at IVF.
“Billie, you look like you’re going to pass out,” Stern then said.
Obviously, Billie was shocked by this revelation and had a ton of questions for her parents about the process and why they’d chosen to go through with it.
There probably could have been a gentler way for Billie to find this information out.
But it was pretty entertaining that it happened on the radio.

How would you react to finding out such personal information live on-air?
Billie handled it with a surprising amount of chill, all things considered, but given her general attitude and overall vibes, I don’t know what else we would’ve expected.
