Famous paintings beware, it seems that none are safe after another has been covered with food in the name of climate change protest.
Similar to the Van Gogh painting attack from just a few weeks ago, a Monet painting has been vandalized, with protesters stationing themselves beneath it to warn people about the dangers of fossil fuels and the damage it does to our planet.

Another high-profile painting attack just took place.
Very similar to the Van Gogh painting that was attacked by climate protestors with cans of tomato soup, ‘Les Meules’ by Monet was covered in mashed potatoes at the Barberini Museum in Potsdam, Germany.
Both attacks are extremely similar.
It starts by throwing whatever food they brought in with them at the painting, gluing one hand to the wall, then kneeling before the painting and giving a speech about fossil fuels and how they’re contributing to food shortages.
Despite the similarities, the attacks come from different organizations.
In the Van Gogh incident was organized by Just Stop Oil , while this one was performed by Letzte Generation (which translates to Last Generation ).
The two groups share similar goals, which is the preservation of the environment by stopping the overuse of fossil fuels.
Also like the last attack, the painting is completely safe.
It was protected by a pane of glass, meaning the potatoes didn’t come in direct contact with it.
There’s no exact word on what happened to the protestors, but Letzte Generation’s website reads, “Facing this reality, we accept high [fines], criminal charges and deprivation of liberty undaunted.”
