You’d be hard-pressed to find a celebrity that is more universally loved and supported than Alex Trebek. His kind, jovial nature made Jeopardy! what it is today, and the man behind the mustache has always seemed to be just as wonderful in real life as he appears on television.
This year, Alex Trebek is celebrating a huge milestone of a birthday.

Alex has long since been a part of Hollywood canon after hosting *Jeopardy!* for 36 years and counting.
He has hosted a slew of other programs and game shows, but he cemented his status in pop culture as the host of Jeopardy! , which he is still doing at age 80 (although he says he has a replacement in mind if he needs to step down).
Alex was born on July 22, 1940.
That means that this year he’s celebrating his 80th birthday. That’s amazing! He doesn’t look a day older than when he started hosting Jeopardy! , aside from being a silver fox now.
It looks like doing what you love keeps you young!
This is likely a special birthday for Alex.
Alex is currently undergoing treatment for stage four pancreatic cancer and has been since he revealed his diagnosis in March of 2019. Alex recently gave a health update where he revealed that he is feeling great .
