Goth Target.
I repeat: Goth Target.
You are not prepared for just how goth this Target really is. Located in Chicago, Goth Target is a place, an idea, and a phenomenon all in one. And people on social media are going nuts for it.
So, what the heck is Goth Target?

Goth Target is actually the Sullivan Center on State and Madison street. Built in 1899, the building is considered a Chicago landmark.
These days, the building serves a different purpose.
While it’s always been a commercial space, it has a very special tenant now: Target.
Target leased the space in the newly-reconstructed historic building in 2012. However, the frenzy around the building wouldn’t pick up until 2021.
Popular YouTuber and TikTokker Safiya Nygard visited Goth Target and recorded her experience.

Safiya dove deep into the history of the building, pointing out some of the classic architecture that Target chose to keep in order to preserve its historic nature!
She even found a special Goth logo.

Target designed a version of their bullseye logo specifically for display within the store.
“I think they should go Fully Monty and make that the big sign out front. Go full goth, Target. Go full goth.”
Locals think the obsession is hilarious.

“OK, you did NOT just an aesthetic video of the place I get my groceries from,” one commenter said.
Uh, yeah. It’s a wicked cool place to get groceries. Hello?
She’s truly a celebrity.

In fact, the #GothTarget hashtag on TikTok has over 6-million views. I honestly think it’s so cool that teenagers not only love the building but appreciate the history behind it!
It’s not just TikTok, either.
Goth Target is universally loved across all social media platforms, especially Twitter. Goth Target has multi-platform appeal. Most companies would kill for this kind of free advertising.
It has memes, too.
I would totally kiss my wife in a goth Target. Sorry, THE Goth Target, capital “G”, capital “T.” We must slap some respect on its name.
