Target's Adaptive Backpacks For Wheelchairs Make Back To School Shopping More Inclusive

It took far too long, but big brands are finally figuring out that being inclusive is good for business.

From Disney's adaptive Halloween costumes to Nike's adaptive shoes, more and more brands are aiming at including, you know, everyone in their product ranges. Now, it's Target's turn.

It took them long enough!

This 17" high backpack has adjustable straps and bag hooks that allow for easy hanging on the back of a wheelchair. You can also tuck away the back straps to keep them from dangling.

Obviously, it does all the classic backpack things.

There are all your classic pouches for your stuff, of course. There's also a laptop sleeve in the back to keep it safe from the rest of your stuff, and two pockets for water bottles.

However, it has some extra, adaptive features.

There's an extra zippered flap at the back of the backpack for tubes and cables. There's also a velcro hook for any bags you may need to hanging inside it.

Target really took accessibility to heart.

It's refreshing to see bigger brands push themselves to be more inclusive.

You can check out the backpack on Target's website — it comes in three different colors!
