Rihanna’s set to put out her very first fashion collection and fans can’t wait to get their hands on it.
The only problem is that it’s going to cost you at least $200 and some people are in their feelings about it.

Fenty Beauty has been out here disrupting the status quo and is continuously forcing other brands to raise their inclusivity standards.
Her venture into the lingerie business has also been a huge success.
The size-inclusive Savage x Fenty collection sold out in mere hours on its first day of sales.
Since then, Rihanna has received countless praise for becoming the inclusivity queen of both beauty and fashion.
Now, the star is onto bigger and better things and is launching her own luxury fashion house.
Fans seem to be very excited for the new and exclusive Fenty collection which drops on May 29th.
Especially since Rihanna is said to have been very hands-on with all of the designs.
Based on a behind-the-scenes video, the collection also appears to be more on the high-end side of fashion.
In an interview with The New York Times’ T magazine , Rihanna shared that some of the fabrics used are very exclusive.
In fact, some were so exclusive that she said she had never even heard of them before designing the collection.
So naturally the prices would also be a bit steep. Except some people aren’t happy about it.
The prices range from as low as $200 for a t-shirt to as high as $1200 for a parka.

One article, in particular, went viral after it referred to the Fenty collection as “classist hypocrisy.”
Meanwhile, another person tweeted, “How can anyone be so stupid to pay 200 [dollars] for a t-shirt? Lol.”
In response, many people came to the defense of Fenty’s pricing.
Most people pointed out the fact that the collection is being marketed as “luxury” and should therefore be expected to have “luxury” prices.
“It’s a luxury clothing line not H & M,” author Roxane Gay responded.
“Where’s all this think piece energy for Chanel, Prada, Fendi, etc. Aka other LUXURY lines??” another questioned.
Others simply clapped back by showing people where they could get affordable prices.
“Savage x Fenty is affordable. Puma x Fenty is adorable. y’all modern women can go grab that,” one person tweeted.
Another wrote, “Y’all wanted Fashion Nova prices with luxury quality pieces and that simply just isn’t how it’s going down at Fenty. Instead of complaining, save your money.”
What are your thoughts on Rih’s latest collection?
Do you feel like it’s too expensive for a celebrity designer to be asking for? Or does the high price point just fit in with the luxury brands that the singer is partnering with?
Personally, I’m a believer in knowing your worth and adding tax to it. So if that’s how much Rih believes it should be, then that’s how much it should be.
I also feel that the price point makes perfect sense when you consider that this is going to be a luxury fashion house and not just some old thing with a label slapped on.
