Meet Emily, a football-loving, insanely fit athlete who coaches a U19 team part-time. She’s been dating the protagonist of our story for two years and has become a regular at his informal Sunday football matches with friends. Enter Irene, the jealous girlfriend of the protagonist’s friend Mark, who believes that football games are “childish” and “low-class.” Irene has a problem with Emily playing with the guys and accuses her of not respecting the boundaries of her relationship. But when Irene takes things too far, our protagonist steps in to defend his sporty sweetheart. ⚽️
