When it comes down to society , there are a lot of things that are true that we may not like. We don’t really notice when these things come into our lives, but when we do realize it, we have the opportunity to wash our hands of it.
Whether it’s being taken advantage of, getting screwed over, being hurt—we sometimes realize that doing less is better for us in the long run, so that we don’t get hurt anymore . There are some things in life that we are totally done with doing and maybe, knowing it, you may be done, too.
Don’t do more than expected.
Buggy1218 shared that they are 100% done with giving 100% at work, for any job. You get the same salary that you are supposed to get whether you give 50% or even 60%. And, if you always give 100%, they will always want more from you, so you’ll be doing more than what you are paid for.
Showing empathy to those who do not deserve it.
LowAfternoon8155 said they are done with giving empathy to anyone who has none for others when the roles are reversed. Many people agreed, giving empathy to individuals who have none is a waste of time and a waste of space.

Instagram and its unrealistic expectations.
undercoverqueenie said that she deleted Instagram because it made her feel really bad about herself and her self-esteem. She’s done with the influencers and the “keeping up with everyone” type of mentality.
Diet culture.
cherrystain_witch said she’s done with diets and diet culture entirely. They give people a complex about eating and what they can and cannot eat. And, cutting down on things usually hurts your body, when you can just eat more nutritious and healthy foods overall.
People who don’t take accountability for anything.
“People are just not taking accountability for anything. Growth isn’t comfortable or easy. You admit your mistakes and learn from them. People now are just adult children and emotionally immature and although I have a lot to learn and mature in, my god is it frustrating,” said harlotcharlotte .
Online dating.
shockedpikachu123 said that she is 100% done with online dating. She’s tired of the small talk and the games that dating apps. She thinks that they are “not meant to be deleted,” and instead the apps just want you to keep swiping and swiping.
Unreliable friends.
-always-peachy- said she is finished with unreliable friends. She’s tired of needing someone and them never being there, or never checking in with even a text message to check in on them once in a while. And, when you confront them, they always play the victim.
Taking work home and taking it personally.
midget_gem10 said they are “done” with customers at their job and getting worked up over the dumb stuff that they do. The customer is not always right, and sometimes it’s best to just walk away and let it go. Don’t take it personally, people are sometimes just the worst.
