A huge congratulations to Halle Bailey for nabbing the role of Ariel in the upcoming live-action remake!
Between her perfect cheekbones and breathtaking singing voice, she is the perfect actress to bring Ariel to life for a new generation of princesses.

Halle Bailey has been chosen to play our little mermaid, Princess Ariel.
You can imagine that there were a number of people who were unhappy about it.
In fact, A LOT of people are upset about it…
But thankfully they don’t make up the majority.
Thank goodness for that too, otherwise, our collective hope in humanity would have been lost.
Luckily, Twitter came together in the best way.
