We all have one of those friends who is convinced that they are able to fix anything themselves, despite not entirely knowing what they are doing. The outcomes of these attempts can either be an absolute car crash creation or they can be surprisingly effective.
To show off both sides of this coin , here are 20 wonderful people who proved that a little learning can be a dangerous thing.

It is cheap, it is sleek, and you can wear it absolutely anywhere! Actually, I do not think that I would be very comfortable with trying to wear this through an airport.
“Client found a solution cheaper than the mics I suggested for mic’ing a pipe organ. I’m not even mad honestly this is just impressive. I don’t know what to say.”
“And lo, the lord did wish for the sound of him playing Great Balls Of Fire on a sick organ could be heard across the globe, so he miracled himself a satellite dish…”
Using What You Have To Hand…
I absolutely love the fact that they took the time to make this gas canister its own Mii on the Wii. That is such an unnecessarily level of detail that deserves all the credit in the world.
“Door hinges. Definitely works.”
Wow, at this point you would probably be better just letting nature take its course with this car. I wonder if they can still make this flap open to reveal the car’s innards, like having a hatch on your skull?
“Can’t let that old grill go to waste!”
Yep, there is no denying that this is anything short of fantastic. Although, one person did point out how it could be further improved by writing, “Bonus points if the knobs were repurposed to be a combination lock.”

I would absolutely spend three thousand dollars on this if I had three thousand dollars to spare. Sure, this thing would probably kill me somehow, but it would be one hell of a fun way to go out!

It is definitely a cheap and simple solution to the problem of not having stairs, the fact that it may kill you at any moment is just a necessary risk!

This is so over the top, I love it. I bet that the local kids were shocked when this guy burst out with this terrifying-looking machine. The reload would suck on this thing though, they need to incorporate some sort of feeding mechanism next.
“Stop sign on my street got bent over, making it difficult to see the sign. Some resourceful individual ‘fixed’ it.”
Now it looks as though the stop sign is leaning in and saying, “Hey, you, yeah you! I know you’re not thinking about stopping! But stop!”

I like where their head was at, but I cannot see this hairdryer lasting for very long in this wonderful invention. I hope they have a lot of hairdryers lying around the place and a working smoke alarm.

I am sure that their dog will have been furious to have been walked along by his sworn enemy. Although, with a cable like that, you will be able to get a much faster Gb/s on your dog!

I am sure that there is a very simple explanation as to how they have done this, but you could leave me trying to work it out until the end of time and I would be none the wiser.
Seems Like A Ticking Time Bomb…
This strikes me as one of those “temporary solutions” that has ended up being a much more permanent solution than they had initially hoped. We all have some of these around our houses, but there is slightly a lot more riding on this one.
“My remote control hasn’t got any keys on it.”
A few people did suggest that this person should try using the tip of their tongue to change the channels and such instead. However, I cannot recommend that anyone out there attempt that technique.

I have seen some pretty janky looking vapes in my time, but this one has got to be the worst. The blue tape really completes it.

A little bit of tape or something on the fork’s prongs to stop them from scratching the tablet and this is a pretty damn effective way to build yourself an iPad stand!
