TikTok family influencer Katelynn Ordone, the mother of 2-year-old Preston Ordone who died in a car accident on April 24, recently posted a video talking about the aftermath of the accident.
She detailed how she spoke to her father for 19 minutes over the phone right after the car crash, which she and her husband survived.
The family endured a car crash in April

Katelynn and Jaelen Ordone were in the car with their 2-year-old son, Preston, on April 24, when it “veered off the roadway to the right and struck a tree”, per the Louisiana State Police.
The parents survived, while their two-year-old sadly passed away, with his official cause of death being “blunt force injuries,” People reports.
The boy was beloved by more than just his parents

The little boy was known on TikTok as ‘okay baby’ as his parents frequently posted videos of him that went viral where he answered most words directed at him with a charming ‘okay’.
The Ordones’ older daughter, Paisley, was not in the car at the time of the crash.
The mother posted a recent video on the aftermath

As she navigates her immense grief, Katelynn posted a TikTok video on Thursday, July 3, where she recounted “something that happened the day of our accident” that stuck with her.
Katelynn sustained a traumatic brain injury, which left her unable to remember the crash or “two to three days” afterwards.
But her father told her about a phone call she made

Despite not being able to remember due to her brain injury, Katelynn’s father told her she made a particularly striking phone call right after the crash.
“The accident was awful, and somehow I was able to get my hold of my phone,” Katelynn explained. “I called 911 first. I was on the phone with them for five minutes.”
“The only reason I know that is because I saw it in my call logs, and then my parents have told me that I called them.”
She called her parents for support

Katelynn explained that although she couldn’t identify exactly where she was, she was evidently able to send her location to her parents.
“I was on the phone with my mom for about five minutes,” the grieving parent shared. “She said she could just hear the pain in my voice. I was groaning in pain, and she said she just couldn’t handle it anymore.”
Katelynn then spoke to her father for 19 minutes

She explained that her mother handed the phone to her father, who stayed on the call with his traumatized daughter for about 19 minutes.
“My dad told me that he kept asking where I was, and I kept saying, ‘I don’t know’ … He could hear people asking me if I had kids, and I was saying, ‘I don’t know.’ I was just out of it,” she shared.
There were a lot of quiet moments

“There was moments that I could talk, there was moments that I was just groaning and moaning in pain, and then there was moments of silence where I wasn’t talking at all,” Katelynn told her viewers.
The grieving parent’s father told her that at some point during the call, she started speaking the Lord’s Prayer “perfectly,” noting that after he told her this, she had to actually look up the words for it.
She didn’t realize she could recite it perfectly
“I have heard of it. I recognize it when I hear it, but I did not — still do not — know it well enough to recite it perfectly,” the mother said, expressing that this story has strengthened her faith.
“Without God, I wouldn’t know that Preston’s at perfect peace right now,” Katelynn said. “I still have a long journey, a long ways to go. I feel like I truly, truly could not get through this without [God].”
