In a recent interview, actress Rebel Wilson shared a horrifying story about the moment her nose was “split open” on set.
It was on the set of Bride Hard
The 45-year-old comedy actress opened up about the time she was almost left ‘permanently disfigured’ after a ‘freak accident’ that happened on the set of her new movie Bride Hard.
The incident happened in a fight scene
Wilson explained, “In a fight scene, a gun accidentally got whacked across my face,” as per People.
“It was just a freak accident, and my nose got split open, so I left set. It was really my last night of shooting. I was like, ‘How unlucky can I be?’”
It moment resulted in ‘a pool of blood’
The actress’ injury happened during “the last fight sequence” on the filming schedule, and caused there to be a “pool of blood.”
Wilson shared that the moment left her panicking, “I was freaking out.”
She had to get emergency plastic surgery
The actress added, “They take an ambulance and they have to call a plastic surgeon, because if they didn’t, I would have been permanently disfigured.”
Luckily, there was a good plastic surgeon on hand. “So we got the plastic surgeon, they did all the stitches, and you can’t tell now, really, you can’t tell,” Wilson said.
Wilson isn’t the first to have an on-set accident
The comedy actress isn’t the only celebrity to suffer an on-set accident.
Charlize Theron recently revealed that she sustained a painful injury while filming her latest action-packed movie for Netflix, Apex.
Theron was doing her own stunts
“Our crew delivered a really impressive movie, and yours truly did some stunts and action — without a harness, sometimes,” Theron explained regarding her on-set injury, as per Entertainment Weekly. “Don’t tell Netflix,” she added.
The actress also noted that “it’s actually a miracle that I’m here today.”
