Since the untimely death of Disney star, Cameron Boyce, Adam Sandler has managed to help raise $15K for _Thirst Project — a charity that Cameron advocated for.
Disney star, Cameron Boyce, 20, passed away suddenly on July 6th.
“He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated,” a spokesperson for his family told ABC .
“We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”
“We are still trying to navigate our way through this extremely heart-wrenching time,” they continued.
“And continue to ask for privacy so that the family and all who knew and loved him can grieve his loss and make arrangements for his funeral — which in and of itself, is agonizing.”
“The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.”
Since his passing, he has continued to be honored by his family friends, and co-workers.
His father shared the last photo he took of him on Instagram , just hours before his death.
“My son. Just hours before he was snatched from our lives,” he captioned the photo.
“I miss him terribly. I hope that no one ever has to feel the agony I’m feeling but no one is immune to tragedy.”
Dove Cameron, who worked with Cameron on “The Descendants”, was also among the people who honored him on social media following his death.
She shared a video on Instagram, reading an open letter to his parents.

“Over the last six years, since he was only 14, Cameron talked me down from countless ledges, talked me through eating disorders, helped me out of a dark relationship and through endless breakdowns,” she said.
“But what was special about Cameron was who he was in the small moments when maybe no one was looking.”
Debby Ryan, his cast-mate from “Jessie” also paid tribute to him in an Instagram post.
“This ripped me up. I keep trying and I can’t make anything make sense. He was blameless, and relentlessly joyful; he was good,” she said.
“Through and through, Cam is good, in all ways and to all people. And the most alive,” she continued.
“He couldn’t help himself but to always leave you smiling, or laughing, or dancing. So sincere .”
And of course, Adam Sandler, who was Cameron’s co-star in the movie “Grown Ups”, paid his respects on Twitter.
“Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around,” he wrote .
“Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world,” he continued.
“So much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences .”
But he also paid tribute to Cameron outside of social media.
He shared a fundraiser promoting Thirst Project — a charity that Cameron always advocated for in the past.
“Thirst Project” is a charity that brings wells that provide clean drinking water to villages throughout Africa.
Cameron Boyce, among other celebrities, like Skai Jackson and Nolan Gouldhave been major supporters of this charity.
The co-founder of “Thirst Project”, Seth Maxwell, revealed that almost $15,000 had been raised — largely due to Adam’s campaigning.
Furthermore, Cameron’s family has launched a new foundation in his memory: The Cameron Boyce Foundation.
The organization aims to provide “young people artistic and creative outlets as alternatives to violence and negativity and uses resources and philanthropy to positive change in the world.”
