Dolly Parton is once again proving why she is our favorite celebrity of all time. She sets her mind to something and she does it — unlike my husband, who is still taking his sweet time to change the lightbulb I asked him about three weeks ago.
Not Dolly — if she told us she was going to recreate her 1978 Playboy cover, we knew she was going to follow through with it.
While chatting with 60 Minutes Australia last year, Dolly admitted she wanted to upstage her then 32-year-old self.
"I don’t plan to retire. I just turned 74 and I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again," she told the news outlet at the time.
When asked if she would wear the same Playboy bunny black leotard on the next cover, Dolly joked: "I could probably use it. Maybe. Boobs are still the same!"
In honor of her husband Carl's birthday, the 75-year-old country queen dawned the black leotard again and recreated the 1978 cover.
"You're probably wondering why I'm dressed like this. Well, it's for my husband's birthday," she began in the video uploaded to Instagram.
"I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy," Dolly continued. "He still thinks I'm a hot chick after 57 years and I'm not gonna try to talk him out of that."
"Well, I'm string cheese now. But he'll probably be thinking I'm cream cheese, I hope," she joked while winking at the camera.
I can only hope to look half as amazing as Dolly does at her age. I love her enthusiasm for life, and her ability to always have a good time!
